Sampling undertaken and original methods developed to measure dissolved manganese and the rare earth elements in seawater, sediments and fish teeth using AAS (graphite furnace) and MS respectively. Data indicated the relationship between water values, sediment concentrations and selective replacement of fish bone mineralogy and provided insights into stability of the ocean floor. |
